Ben is best known for his cute-comedy persona in the Norwich Pantomime in which he starred for five years and for his appearance on Britain’s Got Talent when he wowed the judges and audience with his Misheard Lyric Routine which has since gained 26 million hits on youtube.
He’s worked extensively in theatre as both an actor and performer with many credits that include Charlie Chaplin in Franco Zefirelli’s “Il Pagliacci” at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden with Placido Domingo to appearing with Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones in the hit BBC4 comedy “Detectorists” (S1&3) He landed the part of the Storyteller in the Cbeebies show “Treasure Champs” (S1&2) having been asked to do the pilot and last Christmas he picked up a small cameo in BBC1’s Worzel Gummidge Christmas Special.
He owes much of his performance ability to eighteen years of street performing on the tough cobblestones of Covent Garden. Having performed in the world famous Cromer Seaside Variety Show for two seasons he went on to support Joe Pasquale and top ventriloquist and America’s Got Talent Winner Paul Zerdin for two years and last May he was asked to perform his act for the Queen at the Royal Horse Show at Windsor Castle.
Ben wrote, performed and directed the critically acclaimed ‘Ha Ha…!’ shows (2007 – 14) which over the years starred Joe Pasquale, Su Pollard and Cannon and Ball. He also writes regularly penning material for comics and projects for theatre companies.
