Since its inception in 2016, the English Riviera Airshow has been an annual spectacle. Consequently it marks the beginning of the UK’s Airshow season. It is held over two days on the first weekend in June. Moreover it also promises a thrilling experience for attendees with breath-taking flying displays. It also includes a dynamic line-up of ground events.
Funded by a consortium of partners the Airshow remains open to the public free of charge. These include Torbay Council, the English Riviera BID Company, and numerous corporate sponsors and individual donors,
Nestled in Torbay’s natural amphitheatre, the Airshow boasts a picturesque setting that serves as the perfect backdrop for the excitement of the UK’s Airshow season.
In addition to the thrilling aerial displays, visitors can explore the vibrant atmosphere on Paignton Green. This includes an array of rides, carnival stalls, and delectable food and drink options. Engage with expert teams from the RAF Red Arrows, Royal Navy, and Army, and partake in various water-based activities.
For those traveling from afar, the Airshow presents an opportunity to extend their stay and discover the attractions of the English Riviera beyond the event grounds.
The event village will buzz with activity, offering diverse experiences for attendees. Enjoy exhilarating rides in the funfair and interact with visiting military teams. Additionally there is also the chance to peruse local craft stalls, and savour culinary delights from food vendors. With an abundance of entertainment options available, there’s something to captivate every visitor.
In addition to the captivating air and ground displays, the Airshow will feature an array of demonstrations and displays on the water.
For the adventurous souls, there’s the option to experience the adrenaline rush of a rib ride or opt for a leisurely ferry trip across the Bay.

The Clubhouse
Dawlish Warren Life Saving club put a plea on Facebook on the 5<sup>th</sup> of April this year for funds to help the club after seeing their fundraising efforts suffer due to covid over the past two years, Dawlish Life Saving Club posted that they faced an uncertain future, Lady’s Mile Holiday Park and Oakcliff Holiday park owner Jason Jeffery contacted the club’s secretary and offered to help and secure the club’s future with a rolling 2-year funding agreement.
Dawlish Warren lifesaving club have been training beach lifeguards, first aiders, and children from age 7 at the Warren for over 55 years. During the summer season and busy bank holidays they provide a voluntary lifeguarding service both independently and alongside the RNLI. As well as suppling lifeguard cover for numerous open water swimming events, Triathlons and even music festivals all over the country.
Jason Jeffery owner of both Lady’s Mile Holiday Park and Oakcliff Holiday park said “we appreciate all the hard work the committee and the members do to keep the beach safe for our guests and local residents over the summer. We are proud to sponsor the club who are keeping our community safe.
Club Chairman Gareth Jones said “Our club is thrilled with our new sponsors, their community values reflect our own and have enabled us to invest in vital lifesaving equipment to help train new lifeguards and save lives on our beautiful beach and the local area.”
