Very big pitch. Plenty of room for my little camper and awning. Lovely clean shower block but could do with a few more for size of site. Fun pool with slide. Plenty of sunbeds. Restaurant, takeaway, small shop. All very reasonable priced. 20 minute easy walk to beach, funfair and pubs etc. Walk up hill more challenging on return but not life threatening. Went in june so not crowded as I prefer and weather was amazing. Easy, level, coastal walk around to dawlish town.

We originally booked a caravan for our stay. As a family, we’ve usually stayed at Haven and Parkdean sites, but this year we wanted to try somewhere different — and we’re so glad we did!

When we arrived, we realised that caravans can differ quite a lot in size, and unfortunately the one we had booked wasn’t quite suitable for my disability and individual needs.

I went to reception and was greeted by Holly, who was a supervisor and absolutely lovely. She couldn’t have been more helpful. After I explained the difficulties I was having, both my husband and I felt that she really went above and beyond to help us find a solution.

Luckily, Holly was able to offer us two alternative accommodation options, one of which was an upgrade at an additional cost. We went to have a look at both and decided to pay for the upgrade as we were fortunate enough to be in a position to do so.

We ended up in a beautiful lodge with a jacuzzi, which was absolutely perfect for us and made such a difference to our holiday.

We also learnt something from the experience ourselves — because of my disability and our family’s individual needs, in future we’ll phone and book directly so we can discuss exactly what we need and make sure we choose the most suitable accommodation.

A huge thank you to Holly for being so understanding, kind and helpful. What could have been a difficult start to our holiday was handled brilliantly. ❤️
